on April 19, 2019, something new happened. As a passionate game developer, I wanted to provide our nursery customers with a mobile app to design and landscape their gardens and support their plant and tree purchases. So I built Spruce Landscape
The first few versions of the application only included flowers and a limited number of textures. Upon its release on the App Store, the unexpected happened. Worldwide users began downloading it, while the nursery’s customers couldn’t quite find much interest in the app. I couldn’t understand why.
I’m a big fan of social platforms, but adding 3D capabilities to such a platform was difficult. I love challenges though, so I was fueled by the possibilities. Spruce Landscape has become a social platform for sharing 3D home and garden designs between users. Users can interact with various online features and also shop for daily furniture and home decor.
The app has now reached 10 K monthly active users. We’ve amassed a growing community of creators and designers.
